Amrita Rao is set to make a debut in small screen

Amrita Rao’s career seemed to be playing nonchalant for quite some time now. We were pleased to know that the actress has turned to the world of small screen as she was allegedly finalized to play the lead role in an upcoming television series. Though the news is not confirmed, speculations seem to be strong that the actress is likely to be a part of this project.

 

 

Amrita however, is not the only B-town star to be a part of the small screen experience. Recently, television channels have been bombarded with the promotional teaser of the Amitabh Bachchan’s upcoming television venture ‘Yudh’, in which he plays the role of a real estate tycoon. However, this is not Big-B’s first connection with small screen. The legendary actor is famous for hosting all the series of the popular television reality game show ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’. His performance as a host was well received by the audiences as they connected with him through this show. Joining this brigade is Salman Khan, who has successfully hosted two major reality game shows on television; the Big Boss series and Dus Ka Dum. Both the shows were quite popular and he managed to entertain the audiences with his charming personality.

 

 

We also see Amrita Rao’s sister, Preetika Rao causing more than just ripples in the television industry with her show ‘Beintehaa’, that has proven to be pretty popular among those who love television soaps. The series that Amrita is speculated to soon be a part of is Shashi Sumeet Mittal’s forthcoming venture. He happens to be an award winning producer and has given the television industry popular shows like ‘Diya Aur Baati Hum’ and ‘Tumhaari Paakhi’.

It would definitely be interesting to watch the actress be a part of a daily soap. She has received success in the past with movies like ‘Ishq Vishq’ opposite Shahid Kapoor and ‘Main Hoon Na’ among others. No doubt the actress is extremely talented, though we haven’t had a chance to see her in recent times. A career in television would make a perfectly refreshing comeback.

 

 

Small screen has proven to be larger than expected. With a revolutionary change from airing predictable shows, it has now transformed into a major entertainment and business medium. Creations from small screen have always managed to entertain our television enthusiasts every day for the past so many years now. Television shows have equally dedicated fans as Bollywood. Daily soaps, crime oriented shows, comedy shows and a never ending list of reality shows forms the perfect ingredients to entertainment for all types of audiences. And in the end we learn that small screen is not so small after all.

 

We would be pleased to see Amrita Rao gracing the Television screen with her performance. We also hope this succeeds in giving a boost to her career once again. It would be interesting to watch both the Rao sisters’ amp it up as they get set to leave a mark in the world of television.
