Salman Khan's Special Appearance In 'Lai Bhari'

Riteish Deshmukh who was till date seen as a producer for Marathi Cinema, will soon be gracing the 70mm with his action-pack Marathi film ‘Lai Bhari’. While the promos of the film have been enticing the audience and have been truly found to be ‘Lai Bhari’ (excellent) by the audience, the audience is up for another surprise. 

 

The Dabangg dude of Bollywood, Salman Khan, will be making a special appearance in the film. We hear, it was Salman who himself offered to be a part of the film. The Marathi manoos will certainly enjoy Salman’s Lai Bhari act, hands down, yet Riteish believes that the film too shall strike a chord with the viewers. Talking about Salman’s appearance in the film, Riteish told media, “It was extremely gracious of Salman Khan to himself offer to be part of our film Lai Bhaari. It was great to do a Marathi scene with him.” 

 

Intrigued and fascinated by Riteish’s approach towards his maiden Marathi venture, Salman expressed  the desire to be a part of the film. The film’s captivating story is also another reason why Sallu miyan wished to be a part of the Lai Bhari team. If sources are to be believed, the sequence for the special appearance was specially added by Deshmukh and Nishikant Kamat, who is the director of the film. 

 

Kamat then created a special sequence for Khan which now happens to be one of the highlights of the film, agree the sources. The story that has been passed down from the grapevines suggests that the affiliation which began few months ago turned into this breaking news. While both the actors had known each other for quiet sometime, they grew closer while shooting in Hyderabad’s Ramoji Film City. Salman who was prepping up for Jai Ho and Riteish who was shooting for Lai Bhari were often seen engrossed in a chit-chat post shoot. It was perhaps during this time that Salman decided to get involved with Deshmukh’s venture. While the thought of having a superstar of the stature of Salman Khan-blurting out in Marathi is quiet thrilling, it is also as much appeasing. 

 

What placates the audience further is that the film is directorial endeavor of Nishikant Kamat. The film is co-produced by Riteish Deshmukh’s Mumbai Film Company and Cinemantra Entertainment. Starring in the negative role is daily soap actor Sharad Kelkar better known for his roles such as Nahar(Saat Phere - Saloni Ka Safar) and Rudra(Sindoor Tere Naam Ka). Riteish who started his stint in the Marathi film industry as a producer with the film Balak Palak, is all set to turn into a debutant with Lai Bhari. With a star cast that includes Deshmukh and Kelkar; a director-Nishikant Kamat-who has proved his prowess with films such as Force and Mumbai Meri Jaan; and add to that the special appearance by the Dabangg actor Salman Khan, the film is sure to garner a decent opening atleast! However, will it truly beguile the audience, only time shall tell! We can only hope, that it is indeed, Lai Bhari.
