Upcoming movies of Ranbir Kapoor

Bollywood's "playboy" Ranbir Kapoor  is all ready to set the silver screen on fire this year with his upcoming films.Ranbir Kapoor is the son of Bollywood’s cute couple, Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Singh. They also have a daughter, Riddhima, who has stayed away from the glitz of the glamour world. Ranbir shot to fame with his attractive looks and impeccable acting skills. Here is a list of his upcoming films:

 

1. Bombay Velvet

The flim is about An ordinary man goes against all odds and forges his destiny to become a 'Big Shot'.  

 

Bombay Velvet is an upcoming 2014 Hindi r drama film directed and co-produced by Anurahg Kashyap, based on historian Gyan Prakash’s bookMumbai Fables. Set in Bombay( now Mumbai) of the 1960s, the film tells the story of a boxer, Johnny Balraj, and an aspiring jazz singer, Rosie, and how their hopes and dreams collide with their individual realities. It stars Ranbir kapoor, Anushka Sharma and Karan Johar in lead roles, with Raveena Tondon, Kay Kay appearing in supporting roles. The film is scheduled for release on 28 November 2014.

 

 

 

2. Roy

Roy is an upcoming Bollywood thriller romantic  directed by debutante Vikramjit Singh and produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, & Freeway Pictures and co-produced by Ajay Kapoor. Roy Movie will feature Ranbir Kapoor, Jacqueline Fernandez and Arjun Rampal lead roles. 

 

Bhushan Kumar had plans to shoot at the start of this year but because Ranbir was committed to other films, that didn't happen. Also, leading actress of the film, was shooting with Salman Khan for 'Kick' and she too wasn't available at the start of the year. She had to also opt out of Shah Rukh's overseas concert.

 

However, later it was decided to start shooting the film by April and shoot Ranbir Kapoor's portion in June and push the release to September 2014. But the buzz is that it is not likely to release this year.

 

So with these developments, the makers now to plan to find an alternate release date in 2015. As for Arjun Rampal, there aren't any date issues for the makers.

 

 

3.Jagga Jasoos

Bollywood's rumoured lovebirds Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif will soon be dating at work. The couple are all set to start shooting for the next schedule of Anurag Basu's upcoming detective comedy Jagga Jasoos Movie which is a musical with over 25 songs. Jagga Jasoos is believed to be the reason behind Katrina's absence from Cannes. Jagga Jasoos is very close to Ranbir's heart, not just because his reported sweetheart Katrina will be his leading lady, but because the actor is co-producing it with Anurag Basu and will play a detective for the first time. Ranbir and Katrina last co-starred in 2010's Raajneeti. 

 

 

Rockstar' star Ranbir Kapoor will star opposite actress Alia Bhatt in director Ayan Mukherjee's next film. 

 

Karan Johar, who will be producing the film, took to Twitter to share the news. The movie is expected to release on December 23, 2016.

 

"Ayan Mukherjee's next for Dharma productions is slated to begin mid next year and release December 23rd, 2016. Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt..," the director-producer tweeted.
